Speed up your Lambda functions with Lambda SnapStart 🚀 Here is how to use it 👇
After enabling Lambda SnapStart for a particular Lambda function, publishing a new version of the function will trigger an optimisation process. The process starts your function and runs it throughout the initialisation phase. Then it takes an encrypted and immutable snapshot of the memory and disk state, and caches it for reuse. When the function is subsequently invoked, the state is retrieved from the cache in blocks as needed and used to populate the execution environment. This optimisation makes the invocation time faster 👍

The Amazon RDS Blue/Green Deployments service is now available for Amazon #Aurora and Amazon #RDS 👏
Now, in just a few steps, you can use this service to create a separate, synchronised and fully managed staging environment that mirrors the production environment.
The staging environment clones the primary database of your production environment and the read replicas in the region. Blue/green deployments keep these two environments synchronised using logical replication.

With DMS Schema Conversion, you can now plan, assess, convert and migrate under a central DMS service.
You can access the DMS Schema Conversion features in the AWS Management Console without downloading or running AWS SCT. 😄
AWS DMS Schema Conversion automatically converts your source database schemas and the majority of database code objects into a format compatible with the target database. This includes tables, views, stored procedures, functions, data types, synonyms, and so on, similar to AWS SCT. All objects that cannot be automatically converted are clearly marked as action items with prescriptive instructions on how to migrate manually to AWS.

When you use CloudFormation as a resource, all the stateful components supported by AWS Backup are backed up at roughly the same time.
The backup also includes the stateless resources of the stack, such as AWS Identity and Access Management (#IAM) roles and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon #VPC) security groups . This gives you a single recovery point that you can use to recover the application stack or the individual resources you need.
