La Compagnie des Alpes (CDA) is a French company, a subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts, created in 1989. Initially focused on operating ski areas – of which it is the world’s leading operator – it broadened its activity to theme parks from 2002. Today, the group is the 4th largest European operator of leisure parks.
CDA operates 10 major ski areas in France (Tignes-Val d’Isère, La Plagne, Méribel…) as well as 13 landmark leisure sites (Parc Astérix, Futuroscope, Musée Grévin, etc.). It is also active in accommodation and the online distribution of mountain holidays (notably through Travelfactory, acquired in 2018).
